We were the 1st place winners at Knowbility’s 2009 AIR-Interactive! This event brings together artists and musicians to design web sites that are accessible to everyone. Photos soon!
Great news! The new Numeralia site is done! Through her work with Knowbility, a non-profit working to provide access to information technology for people with disabilities, Sheena was able to enter Numeralia in to the 2009 AIR-Interactive competition. Her team, “5-Under-30″ consists of five extremely talented designers and Web developers well versed in creating Web sites accessible to all. We are very excited to see the site complete!
You may also notice that there are now two videos! “Sunflower” was shot by D and edited by Sheena. “Espirito Gato” has footage shot originally by D (the black & white) as well as newly incorporated video and photos of Sheena’s cats, shot by Sheena and edited by her enormously talented friend and video editing goddess, Rita K. Sanders. Rita recently had a film she edited selected from among hundreds to appear at the famous Sundance Film Festival and reviewed in Variety! Numeralia were lucky to have her on board to spruce up and re-edit “Espirito Gato.” Mark and Sheena’s very special kitty Cleo passed away in 2008 and the video is dedicated to her. It has been quite a few years since Numeralia was truly active. We did some acoustic projects, Sheena has worked on solo music but until now nothing much has been produced. Sheena and Mark both had multiple deaths in the family, moves and career changes which have helped to keep them from writing and playing together as much as they would like. Mark has done some great work on his solo project Desert Waltz and Sheena has contributed songs to The Signal, a podcast dedicated to Joss Whedon’s Firefly and Serenity.
Sheena, Mark, Susan & D are in the development stages of a new album. It has been described as both darkwave and danceable and will include Sheena’s solo Firefly/Serenity songs. More news as it happens!
