Recent Work

  • In My Sky (Serenity) - written and recorded using garage band as a tribute to Joss Whedon's Firefly & Serenity, this song was featured on The Signal Podcast, season 2 episode 3.
  • Speedway - this song was written by my husband Mark as an experiment to see just how many guitars he could fit into one song. When he was done I liked it so much I wanted to add vocals.

The Worry Dolls

The Worry Dolls released two EPs (Enormous, EP) and one full-length album (Edge.) All are out of print but you can contact Sheena if you would like a one-off copy.

Sample Songs (mp3):

Solarium

All acoustic, world music inspired by Dead Can Dance & Loreena McKennit, Solarium consisted of the final members of Numeralia plus a few people who came and went. We decided to take a new direction and form a new band. While the music we wrote was good and wonderfully fun to play, in the end we all had different goals. One or two of these songs may be resurrected in my solo work later but for now all I have are less than perfect live performances recorded in my living room. These tracks have never been published or released in any other form.

Gloriana

Gloriana was formed to play Christmas Carols because we like them! Susan (harp, bassoon, & voice), Cindy (flute & voice) and I (voice, flute & percussion) formed this little trio to learn and play our favorite Christmas Carols and other songs for fun. I ended up writing a piece for the trio ("O Clarissima Mater") and had hopes we might continue to play together after the season. Unfortunately life has gotten in the way and we haven't played again. We performed live several times and recorded the following songs as a demo. O Clarissima Mater was my attempt at writing a Pagan hymn. The lyrics are written in Latin, in praise of the moon Goddess.

Reptiles of Amsterdam

The Reptiles of Amsterdam (aka Without a Quire) was my first ever real, rock-n-roll band. I played keyboards and sang harmonies with our lead guitarist and singer Matt as well as writing and singing lead on my own songs. None of the material has ever been officially released. Circle Sounds, below was re-recorded in 2006 with all the original members by Matt.

Sheena's High School Solo Project

These songs were written and recorded using a casio keyboard and a two track regular tape recorder with an internal mic. Yes, they are a bit embarrasing but hey, I was trying. I made the tape cover on the left using a Franklin Ace computer and dot matrix printer.
